Digital Art Sculpture
Using the 3D Scanner Artec Eva it is possible to scan and digitalize analog objects such as art sculptures. The measurement takes places without touching the surface of the object – this allows to scan very fragile objects without concerning age or type of the used material. Tolerances are in between 0.5 mm and 1.0 mm – depends on the size of the object as well as on the quality of the 3D Scan. The shown Sculpture was created by Volker Mehner and is made of hard plaster in the year of 1987.
